Our Company

Built around the idea that good decisions take space

Maju Teguh was set up to give small business owners in Malaysia an advisor who listens before speaking — and writes things down so the conversation doesn't evaporate.

Our Story

How Maju Teguh came to be

Maju Teguh started from a straightforward observation: small business owners in Malaysia often face important decisions with very little structured support. Banks offer financing. Accountants handle numbers. But someone to sit with you through the actual thinking — weighing the practical considerations before a change — was harder to find.

The consultancy was established in Puchong, Selangor, with a deliberate focus on owner-managed businesses with between two and thirty staff. We work with retail shops, professional practices, service providers, and small trading companies across the Klang Valley.

From the beginning, we committed to a written output for every engagement — a short, plain-language note the owner could keep and return to. That discipline keeps our thinking honest and gives clients something tangible at the end of each session.

Our Mission

Supporting measured progress

Our purpose is to help small business owners move forward with more clarity and less anxiety. We don't set arbitrary targets or push for growth for its own sake. We ask what the owner actually wants from their business — and then try to help them work toward that, at a pace that suits their circumstances.

Maju Teguh means, loosely, "progressing firmly" — a name chosen to reflect the kind of movement we value: deliberate, sustainable, and built on a clear understanding of where you are starting from.

Decisions are left with the business owner — our role is to inform, not to decide

How We Work

Standards we hold ourselves to

Client Confidentiality

All business information shared with us is treated with discretion. A written confidentiality statement is provided at the start of every engagement.

Written Deliverables

Every session concludes with a clear written note. We do not consider an engagement complete until the written output has been delivered to the client.

No Hidden Charges

Service fees are fixed and stated in full before work begins. We do not add scope without a new written agreement in place.

Punctual Sessions

We respect your time. Sessions begin and end as scheduled. If rescheduling is needed, we give as much notice as possible and work around your availability.

Balanced Perspective

We present both sides of a decision, including the case for not proceeding. Our value is in the quality of the thinking, not in steering you toward a particular outcome.

Data Protection

Client records are stored securely and handled in accordance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010. We do not share data with third parties without consent.

What We Stand For

Practical business support shaped for Malaysian small businesses

Small businesses in Malaysia operate in a distinctive context — one shaped by family-run structures, strong supplier relationships, and a business culture that values long-term trust. Maju Teguh was set up with that context in mind. We don't bring frameworks designed for large corporations and try to fit them to an owner-managed operation in Puchong or Subang Jaya. We start from where you actually are.

Our three services — the Next Step Review, the Supplier and Cost Review, and the Progress Partnership — are priced and scoped to be accessible to businesses that are not yet at a stage where retaining a large consultancy makes financial sense. Each service produces a written output and a clear sense of what was discussed and what options are available.

We work in English and Bahasa Malaysia and are familiar with the practical realities of doing business in Selangor. Our office is in Setia Walk, Puchong, which puts us within a reasonable distance of businesses throughout the Klang Valley. We also work with clients via video call for owners who prefer the flexibility.

The name Maju Teguh reflects a straightforward ambition: to support businesses that want to move forward in a way that holds up over time — not quickly for the sake of it, but steadily and on solid ground.
